Tapio Wirkkala Inari Vase for Iittala Finland executed in c.1965

The Inari Vase was designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala Finland in c.1965. The vase is an intricately produced till-mold blown glass work with a ridged textural crystal surface and polished straight cut glass rim. The vase features Wirkkala's organic composition and classic Finnish "winter and ice" theme exemplary of his work during this period. The vase is displayed over a Mid-Century Modern design walnut coffee table from the era.
